i-vigneti-1400x700-00.jpg

We have been producing excellent wines since 1952. The values of the family and the land, instilled every day in the work in the vineyards and in the cellar. For four generations, the Mario Costa farm has kept faith in the history and tradition of a territory, combining them with a passion for things done well.

Our Philosophy - Awareness of a Roero with a glorious past, but ready to transform itself into a future of balance between man and earth. Our Commitment - The family is at the heart of the company. Tradition and passion are the qualities that have always characterised us. Sustainability - Traceability, tradition and technology for true quality production. By focusing more and more on eco-sustainability, which is essential for looking to the future. Our history - We firmly believe that to reach a perfect product the human heart and mind are indispensable tools. From hand pruning to treatments, passing through wire tying and twisting, up to the rituals of the harvest and the cellar. Even the most modern equipment is only a tool to help and not to replace the people working with passion in the vineyard. Roero is its people and we are an integral and vital part of it, who intend to preserve its tradition and look to the future with confidence. MARIO, LAURA, LUCA AND GIUSEPPE COSTA

Tasting notes : Barbera is the "par excellence" a classic of Piedmont. It has a typically intense ruby color, with low and invigorating tannins. And it obviously has a high acidity. Roero Batistin is a very elegant red wine, of great charm and perspective. There is the imprimatur of Nebbiolo in this wine, with elegant and never intrusive characters. The most aristocratic of Piedmontese vines.

Tasting Notes : In the glass, all the characteristics of Roero receive full satisfaction. The Batistin presents itself - with a particularly fruity and fragrant style - already from its beautiful ruby color, very captivating. A nuance that over time becomes more and more insistent with garnet reflections. On the nose, its fruity complex is reminiscent of violets, raspberries, wild strawberries. Without masking a clear ethereal complexity that opens up to spicy hints of cinnamon, pepper and over the years of vanilla. Finally, on the palate, the flavour becomes dry, broad, warm and, for many, velvety.
